Fearless leader John Hall told me how to make a pattern for sides. Find a guitar you like, stick a piece of masking tape on a side from the neck to the heel, measure the width of the side every 2-3 inches, pull off the masking tape, stick it on a piece of cardboard, thin plywood, or acrylic, assuming that the edge at the top is straight, connect the dots along the back's edge, cut it out. Easy peasy
