Do I have enough time?

Post by Dan Bombliss »

Honestly, I think your frame is workable.I started building with no tools or experience what so ever, and a limited amount of tools at my disposal from family and what not. I got a stewmac kit which shortcuts around alot of needed tools, and I got to it. I'm 20 years old, and probably guessing your about the same.6 weeks of dedicated time could make some serious progress, and if your going to be home on weeks, that's more than enough time to have a competed guitar in a couple or a few months. When I built my stewmac there was alot of time that I had spent waiting for tools and what not, and just some time where I was unmotivated or discouraged by something where I wouldn't touch it for a couple weeks at at time. It took about 4-5 months to string up, and that was extremely undedicated time. I honestly believe you'd have no problem getting it finished in a reasonable amount of time if you try.-Dan
