Looks like a great way to social distance! Spray booth looking good, very interested in the CNC machine, can you give us some details? Is this off the shelf, kit, DIY, what software are you using, size of working area, etc? LOTS of fun stuff you can do with those :-)

Definitely interested in what CNC you're getting.
I spend my days with metal cutting CNCs and have for my entire career.
I was just thinking yesterday that it sure would be handy to have one at the house.

John , I have been using a CNC for a lot of things dealing with building acoustic guitars. If you need or want any help, just email or call and we can talk about it!

thanks Sylvan I may call if I need to
I am getting a Shark HD5 extended bed with a RF spindle
not planning on making necks but many of my other jigs and fixtures to start.
I had a friend making them for me and I am at the point that I can start to invest in doing these myself
This comes with V carve but I got aspire
I used to do some of this in my machinist days so it will be a learning curve on the software for sure.
will keep you guys posted.
the spray booth is a no brainer I am so glad I got that up. Makes finish work much easier. I used to farm a lot of that work out but now I can do this in house

You got the very best software! I too, use Aspire and, for most everything, it is all I need. They have a GREAT forum and I would suggest you start looking at it daily. A wealth of information. I do not make necks and have no intention of doing so since I make eight different profiles and I can make them by hand very quickly. However, I do create the headstocks (including slot heads), fretboards, bridges, pick guards (and engrave them), rosettes, inlays and, of course I remade all of my jigs and fixtures very precisely! You are going to have fun with it. I am excited for you!
