First Build, First Mistake

Started my first build this last week. As with most first time projects, mistakes come. Already made my first one.

Got the blocks glued and then roughed in the radius to get ready to glue the kerfing. When doing the top I grabbed the wrong disc! Noticed it and grabbed the other disc and repaired it.

No idea how much I sanded off, so I might just end up with a really skinny guitar.

What John said. Mistakes get way worse than that one.

If it makes you feel better, I've done the same thing. More than once.

Ditto here. There are much worse mistakes that can happen. Actually, I just re-radiused with the right disc. It was an easy fix, which took off just a little, nothing that affected the build. You're fine.

Double dittos. Still gonna be a guitar when done.

I ended up with my rims a touch cocked and had to true them up, so I lost a little width too. Shouldn't matter, from what I gather, except at the neck joint, especially with a bolt-on, as the bolts pretty much determine the height of the fretboard to the top. (Again, from what I can gather. Haven't got that far yet on my build.)
