StewMac 000 kit build so far

Post by benjaminbusack »

I purchased this kit the beginning of February and am very pleased with it so far. I selected the kit with the torrefied top and it exceeds my expectations although I am not finished. I made my own cam clamps prior to ordering the kit just to build a little confidence and save some money.

I'm glad you're having fun. It's very rewarding to build your own guitar.

I have built 7 torrified guitars now. I do suggest to allow about 8 hr clamp time 12 is better. The process changes the way the wood accepts water. So allow for that. Other than that I loved the end results.

Carving braces was fun, this little workbench was $25 on Craigslist and made several processes easier.
