L-0 and behold
Next one up is a Gibson style L-0 with simple bracing. Padauk and cedar. I found the padauk a little tough to bend.

Rosette of padauk, purpleheart and koa. Thin rosewood strips to separate. I also made a tail wedge along the same lines.

Yes, sweet rosette. How do you cut it to shape?

I use a downcut router bit in a dremel tool with the base and circle cutter attachments (from StewMac). I cover my work board with packing tape and after its done it lifts off with a gentle pry.ColestineGuitar wrote:Yes, sweet rosette. How do you cut it to shape?

Top braced. Need to do some final sanding. Contemplating if I should put a popsicle brace in to add a little strength. Just seems like it's something that would benefit more than not. Thoughts?

Very little if any of the tone comes from above the transverse brace. I would go with the popsicle. If not, I would put something there to prevent those nasty beside-the-fingerboard cracks
