After checking the fit of a tuning machine on the headstock I decided I'd like to add a backstrap to make it thicker. I'm adding a layer of white wood veneer and then a rosewood plate.

More French polishing on the body. Only 23 more coats to go.

More polishing. I was having an issue with the finish being soft and poor shine. It turns out I was applying it too wet and with too little pressure. I sanded it back a bit and am getting much better results now.

After the micro-mesh, but before the final polishing sessions. I used 1500, 1800, 2400, 3200, 3600, 4000, 6000, 8000, and 12,000
