Here is the scorching Kathy is referring to. I read her email after I had finished bending. We'll see if it sands out. I gave myself permission to make mistakes on this build since it is my first solo (mostly) build.

The scorching may sand out. I would consider sanding one or two of them a bit before gluing to see. The guitar looks really good so far. I have had aluminum foil react to some wood and dis-color it. Looking at the picture it does look like scorching.

Invisible joints in the binding are much more challenging than I expected.

Thinning the headstock. It was a challenge because of the volute.
