It seems I was too enthusiastic while sanding. I have a 3mm gap where the neck meets the body. I'll have to build a mahogany shim to fit between the fingerboard and top.

Ok I'll be first to ask a dumb question; Are the sides upside down? It seems like the neck angle is going the wrong way. I'm at a similar stage of construction and my fretboard overhang is heading uphill just a tad.

Must be an optical dilusion on my part, I see on page 2 the small penciled "B" on the inside of one of the sides indicating the bottom. Sorry if I gave you a minor heart attack.

It looks like there is no truss rod? If you will have one there may be an issue reaching it. Otherwise if you are sure your neck angle is correct for proper action as mounted the wedge will work. You can call it an elevated fret board. It actually makes the higher number frets a little easier to reach.

That's exactly what I am doing -- hoping to turn a failure into a feature. <wink>

Opps! The centerline of the soundboard is 6mm off from the centerline of the neck bold holes. I guess the strings won't be centered over the sound hole.
