Hello all,

I am almost finished finishing the body of this guitar. I love how this shade turned out. I used butterscotch from Reranch.com for the shade effect. I didn't want the trouble of due and running another color through my gun. I am pretty proud. It turned out exactly like I wanted.

Thanks for looking,

Thank you for all the compliments. I tell you the 1/8 inch pinstripe tape I bought from the auto paint store worked perfect for the masking. I was done in 15 minutes. It bent all the way around the herringbone on the rosette and the purfling. I left early a little showing. I used the magnifying glass. So I after the burst was finished, I pulled the tape and I hit with with some rattle can clear Behlen's and it evened out the top coat. It took almost a whole can.

I would have never tried it, but I hate the terrified baked wood look. Not to mention mine smells like a faint faint burnt pizza crust....lol

Got my fret installed tonight. They are rough. I want to make a bevel tool this time rather than eyeballing it. I will go to my Dad's house tomorrow and use his milling machine to make my side markers. I got the neck rough fit to the fingerboard. I had to take off quite a bit of material. I have some neck profiling to finalize one I glue the fingerboard down.

All in all I am happy so far. she will be pretty....

I just rubber banded the fingerboard down to hold it still in the photos....

I am trying to decide on which bridge to glue down here.......

I have an nice ebony that is highly polished. The black brings out the herringbone and accents the ebony head plate and really draws your attention to the fingerboard...

I have a ziri blank I have rough carved. It matches the back and sides and the fingerboard.

I can't decide.... Any opinions?
