Looking good. I might try the CA binding method again.

So I neglected to take pictures.....you've seen it before anyway...
but I got the top binding on last night, using teflon strips to create the cavity for the abalone purfling. I used CA again, and it went very well. I was able to install it, pull the tape, pull the teflon, and weep more CA behind the binding in the channel all in about 1.5 hours, which I thought was pretty good. Tomorrow I'll level the sides, route the mortise for the neck, scrape clean the purfling channel and hopefully get all the purfling installed. I've got to get better and remembering to take pics since the customer for this one is expecting them

Saturday was a great day. I scraped the bindings and sides all level, routed in the neck mortise, then took the guitar outside and worked on it in the garden, setting up a work table on my patio, this is what I looked at and listened to from about 10am to 5pm as I installed the abalone purflings..........nice huh!

So I now have the abalone in, flooded with CA and it is now ready to be scraped and sanded down. I'll work on that tonight
The abalone went in pretty well, although it was a little tight, I should probably sanded the the strips down a little more so they'd gone in easier, but I like a snug fit so there aren't gaps.

The guitar is looking great. I like the garden. We had a spring like day (summer like really) yesterday. I got outside as well.
