Looking good Kip,

I finally got the bridge placed on my Ditson 12 fret. When you string it up and it sounds and plays well, the feeling you get should be illegal. Good job pal. Welcome to the luthier world.

Well, for the most part, she's all done. Just some minor finish work to do as I wasn't happy with the results on the back. My camera's on the fritz otherwise I would have posted some better quality pics.

Sounds and plays great. I think I even impressed myself. :-)

hahaha.. congrats to you on getting it done. I still remember the feeling of putting strings on that first guitar. I'm sure I'll never forget how good that felt.

P.S. If you need to borrow a pair of wire cutters to trim the strings, give me a shout. I have an extra pair you can borrow while you save up for your own pair. :p

Actually, I've been coiling my strings like that for years. Not sure why I do it. Probably because I'm too lazy to cut them. :-)

I've never understood it. It has to take 10x longer to coil them up than it would to go to the store and buy some cutters and clip them :p

My son does that, and it drives me crazy ... Maybe that is why he does it ???

This one turned out great Kip. Playability and sound is what it's all about.
What do you want to build next?
