Wow, you're really moving along! Keep it up!
BTW, I love how clean the outlines are on these kits.

Thanks everyone. Moving along slowly. Would have it done if it were at home. Then again, its probably a good thing that its not as "Haste" and "Waste" tend to mean the same thing to me. :-)

Finally have a box. Just need to clean up the rims/sides before routing for binding. Excuse the mess, snapped these just before walking out the door.

Is that some binding that I see around the top of the rim? I agree with you on the haste and waste thing Winston, a quote that John uses frequently that is constantly going through my mind is "take your time and everything will be ok" and because I have watched his youtube tutorials I actually hear this quote in his voice. Your box is looking good, can't wait to see it after all the binding/purfling is installed, good work, keep it up!

Feels good to be this far along doesn't it?
Looking very nice. What is your binding/purfling scheme?

Yeah, feels really good to be this far. Can see the light at the end of the tunnel so to speak.
No binding yet David. That's just the angle of the pic.
Haven't really had a close look at the binding/purfling and whats involved with that yet Kevin. Other than seeing herring bone purfling in the kit, the rest all just looks like strips of plastic to me at this point! Haven't the foggiest idea how it all fits together yet. That's next on my agenda. :-)

Re: Winston # 1 - HD-28
The traditional HD-28 has white binding but I chose to go with black. I wish I would have went with white as the black gets a little lost in the rosewood, no contrast. The herringbone does look awesome on the top though, if I was to do it again I would consider putting herringbone on the back as well.
