Thought Id start this out by showing my newly built koa concert uke. It turned out good and has opened up a little too.

looks very nice. Ukes are becoming very popular. Mike Franks is going to help us here in the Uke Forum and I know he builds a very high end uke , his skill and advice will be a help to the newbies.

No it was not a kit. It came from a hunk of wood. It was a lot of work and took me a very long time to make. Stew Mac makes a nice kit in both soprano and tenor. Both are mahogany.
What are you looking for I may be able to steer ya in the right direction.

Beautiful piece! I'd like to do one out of Curly mango when I can get some....what I have is a rare set large enough for a guitar, but I'd been thinking about a uke for awhile....too much on my plate at the moment, though!

So, my big brother was playing guitar and I figured I'd try it too.
