Looking forward to seeing this finished. It looks like the spray gun is working out.

Yes I like the gun. I don't have the viscosity of the lacquer worked out yet for best atomization, but I like that it is portable, simple, and it was not expensive!

Not the best pics, taken with my phone, but this has 8 coats of lacquer now.

Thanks Dave. I'm sweating a bit. We had a breakin last week, and this guitar thankfully was not disturbed. I'm glad cause the owner has already paid for it in full!!!
Only a few more weeks to go.

all the spraying is done as of Monday night, put one last finish coat on the back. Now it sits for 3 weeks.
I like the Rockler HVLP system. I never really got a super smooth coat trying some various thinning and material volume combinations, but the end result will not take much sanding to get it flat again. I will keep experimenting with the next one.

Here are some pics of the body hanging in the shop waiting....a little over two weeks more to wait to sand and buff.

The darker color pic is more accurate of what the walnut looks like....it is really nice looking.
and for Darryl, a couple of the neck!

Really looks good. I find this a hard time. With the WB I wait the the time that target sets 120 hours. I count each of those hours. Three weeks would kill me.
