String slots in bridge

I've been making decent progress on my kit until I hit a little stumbling block today.

The kit came with unslotted bridge pins, which means I had to notch the bridge, soundboard and bridge plate to allow for the thickness of the strings and cut small "ramps" up toward the saddle.

All seemed to go well until I was finished and turned the guitar around. Then I realized I'd made the wide notches for the treble strings and vice-versa. Of course, I can enlarge the narrow slots, but not sure what to do with the wide notches to accommodate the narrow strings.

Is this even a problem as long as the ball-end can't pull out?

If it is a problem, is there anything I can do about it other than filling with something -- maybe dust and CA glue -- and re-cutting the slots?
