Rosewood Back Seam Seperating

Post by Kbore »

I'm wet sanding, and it appears that the back joint, near the tail end, is opening up. I can feel the seam with my fingernail. Have no idea what to do about it. Advise? It's nitrocellulose lacquer finish, 12 coats.

Looks and feels open. I can feel it with my fingernail, and it has liqueur slurry in it. The back was glued at least a year and a half ago. How would I tell if glue shrink?

if it is cracked you can press your thumb on one side and feel it move
I think you have glue sink . Did you use a filler?
