Hi,
Happy New Year and hope everyone had a great holiday. I am getting ready to install an in lay on the headstock and was wondering if there is a preferred adhesive for the task. I have seen everything from Tite-bond, CA and epoxy glues, just wondering what everyone else uses and if one has any significant benefits?

CA is my glue of choice on small inlay epoxy with tempra on large inlays

I don't do much inlaying, but I usually press in in the inlay then put a drop of water-thin CA glue (StewMac's #10) on it, making sure the glue flows over the edges of the inlay so it gets into the joint. If the inlay is a tight fit not much is going to get in to the joint, but I assume it doesn't take much to hold the inlay. None have fallen out on me so far....

I put the inlay into place, wick thin ca glue around it, then toss wood dust over it. After shaking off the excess dust, I sand the buildup down.

BTW, nice inlay, Diane. Really good fit; looks like the pieces were CNC'd into place.
