heel and end blocks

Post by Talladam »

How oversized do you make your blocks if you are radiusing your rims with a radius dish? Would a tail block that was overhanging the sides by 1/8" on the top and back be too much work to sand with a radius dish?

that is plenty what I do is rough in the angle and work them to fit the sides so I have less work to do with the dish.
you only need about 1/16 on the top and about 3/32 for the back

Thanks John. I'm pretty amazed by how much you do for this forum. It's clear you spend a lot of time helping beginners like myself.

The blocks will plane nicely and should be easy to get within sanding size
