ASIA -Association Of Stringed Instrument Artisans

Post by Chris -LMI »

Hello everyone!
As you may (or may not) know, I recently joined John Hall on the board of directors for ASIA (the Association of Stringed Instrument Artisans). My first goal on the board was to re-vamp the ASIA Facebook page. Please, click the link below and 'like' the page!

If you are not a member of ASIA, I strongly encourage you to become one.

ASIA members enjoy a strengthened professional profile by virtue of their association with many of the most dedicated instrument makers and repair people in the industry. Their craftsmanship is bolstered as a result of the techniques shared in the quarterly Guitarmaker magazine that all members receive. Additionally, members meet during odd numbered years at the ASIA Symposium to attend seminars and workshops taught by industry leaders, provide professional support and camaraderie to each other and to buy parts and materials from essential lutherie suppliers.

Being an ASIA member demonstrates to your clients and colleagues the seriousness with which you practice the art of instrument building and repair.

Thanks! -Chris
