Need help from pore o pac pros

Post by Alexie42 »

Opened my quart can of oil based pore o pac only to find the oil sitting on top and the filler almost jellified. After much difficult stirring I was able to mix enough to do the first fill on my mahogany neck. My question is, how can I save my pore o pac. How can I return it to its original consistency? Or is that possible? Forgot to mention, bought from Amazon about two months ago.
Thanks,
William McDonald

Stir, stir , stir, it will come back.

You might try one of the paint stirring paddles that goes in an electric drill. They work wonders on cans of paint. I don't know how one would work on something as thick as the filler, but it might be worth a cautious experiment.

that mixer may be a tad large but something like that will do well.

Thanks John, I'll definitely give it a try. I'm not a big fan of hand stirring!

Just keep the rpm down until you find out how it's going to respond to the paddle.

John, your stirring attachment idea worked like magic! Slow speed stirring is the key. Thanks guys!
