first time installing binding
i'm getting ready to route then install binding for the first time on my project-testing guitar. it would not be a big deal if this test-guitar gets messed-up but i would prefer not. looks like i'll get a rigid router with adjustable-tilt base. just looking for any others that might have some comments on how things went the first time they tried this. my aim at this point would be to make several shallow cuts and examine the actual cut-width after each pass and adjust accordingly. i'm planning on using duco to attach binding material. thanks in advance.

Re: first time installing binding
when doing binding the top is pretty straight forward , it is the back that gets most difficult as the radius on the back is compounded with the taper and this is what can frustrate beginning builders.
Take your time and then use a file to clean out the steps on the back. You have the right idea lots of little cuts and adjustments.
