Locate bridge dead center?

Post by pryde »

Hello again,

Build: Stew mac 000 bolt-on neck
I am at the point of locating my bridge and setting neck angle.

According to the stew mac instructions, to set the neck angle (side to side and tilt) I must first locate the pre-slotted bridge on centerline (as well as correct distance for intonation).

I have the stewmac saddlematic which will help me get the correct distance but how can I ensure the bridge is ACCURATELY on center?

This is necessary to do first as the instructions want you to use the bridge as a fixed landmark to set the necks side to side angle.

How is best to acheive this? Thanks.

Once you establish your neck angle and center you place the bridge to the center line of the neck.
Here is a video you may find interesting.
