Top off center

Post by johnd »

I really messed up. Glued the top on off center about. The glue set up before I realized my mistake. Can the guitar be saved or, is it a lost cause? I must have done 5 dry runs and still messed it up.
Thanks for any advice

what Tim said ,. post some pice
In the future here is a method to keep things centered.
Drill position holes in the top and neck block. Your braces should have had you locked into position. I have shoot the video but it isn't up yet. Keep an eye on you tube .
Another way to lock the top is to use the location holes in the neck block. On the tail , use a piece of paper and glue a block on the tail in. Drill a location hole there also Then you can dowel things in so they don't move when gluing.
We look forward to seeing the pics

you are not off that bad
When you go to set the neck you work the dovetail on that side and you will get most of that back.
