Is there a guitar in here?

Post by Bob Gleason »

I was just asked to dig through these two 1" x 27" x 7'ish koa boards and see if I could find a guitar in them somewhere. They were originally cut 40 years ago by the Grandfather of the person who brought me the wood. Turns out I probably knew the Grandfather, just in passing, so there is an interesting historical connection for me. The boards are badly termite ridden, but I'm told just to use the best wood I can find, termite holes and all, for an all koa acoustic. It will be an interesting project. As a sidenote, they also brought a large bag of homemade chocolate chip cookies. I never take deposits on orders, but am thinking of adding cookies to the order requirements! Way better than $!
