Solar Kiln

Latest tool building project -

Solar kiln based loosely on UVa plans found on the internet.
Insulated box painted black with a clear roof.
Steel fan to circulate hot/moist air out when temp hits 120 degrees (used an attic fan controller).

Currently loaded with a pile of hickory and Walnut slabs slated to become a dining room table and chairs, and perhaps a bedroom door this winter.

A bit of the walnut might end up in a guitar.
Currently I have several nice walnut billets airdrying.
At the rate I build guitars, they'll be fine by the time I need them.
