Stew Mac introduced this item this morning:

My first thought was - another useless tool. But then I thought of a few things it would be good for- mostly polishing parts. I got a nut at the Ace Hardware for 83 cents, and glued it into a scrap of walnut 1-3/4" square. The nut is a 3/4" X 10 instead of the 3/4" X 12 of the Dremel, but it screws on for 1-1/2 revolutions and is quite stable. Works great.

I don't think that would accommodate the end of the flexible extension, which is a shame because it would get both the weight and vibration of the motor off the mount. I really like the flexible extension for handheld use, because it's so much lighter and doesn't make my hand tingle (as much).

But yeah, using this holder to make the Dremel into a small polishing wheel makes sense.
