Again with the chisels

Post by ruby@magpage.com »

My local Ace Hardware has a set of 3 Stanley wood chisels (looks like 1/4, 1/2, and 1") on sale at $3.99, then down to $2.99 with their Rewards card

You can't beat that price. Ed, what do you think of the Bailey series of Stanley?

I see I can get them online for $2.99, no tax and shipped free to the local store in the town next door. I will get a couple of sets.

Since I have collection of dynamite vintage edged tools, I won't be partaking. My experience is that even a crappy chisel will take a serviceable edge.

I like to use them for the irons in my small wood planes. I couldn't get the website to work, so didn't purchase them as I want them shipped to the near by store.
