I'm preparing to do some scratch builds. I made molds, forms, and spreaders for variations on:
Gibson J45
Gibson L-00
Gibson L-0
Martin OM
Martin Size 5
Olson SJ

Randy

How long will it take to build all those?

What's the difference in shape in an L-0 and an L-00? Or are they from different eras?

The one on the left is a pre 1929 H braced guitar while the one on the right is a post 1929 X braced guitar. In a given year the body was the same, but the bracing may have been the same or different, and the binding was different. The later one is a little bigger. Gibson was going nuts at the time.

from the 20's to the modern period Gibson and Martin had changed shapes a few times. It was inevitable from the old hand made jigs to the more modern CNC . Martin last changed the shape just a few years ago.
