It works. The belt was weak and I found that McMaster Carr has the round leather belting in stock. Ordered it Friday and it came yesterday. I am looking forward to getting the scroll saw up and running. I got this one to turn around, so I will be cleaning it up a bit for sale.

Yes - it goes to someone who can appreciate its utility more than I can. It is a pretty light duty tool and I don't have much call for very small turnings.
