Bolt on neck holder with Improvements!

Post by John J »

I made up this holder for when I'm doing the fret shaping, fingerboard cleanup and nut installation. Rock steady and I can use two hands on the fret file.

Nice idea. Is one end movable for different necks?

Not yet. I plan to put a section of t-track under one end. Good eye!

Looks like it is worth having if you don't mind a jig burglar.

After some modifications and a little re-working I like this jig even more. I mad the tenon mount moveable on a t-track to allow for different neck lengths and the headstock support pivots to accommodate the angle better. Thanks for your comments.

Thank you John. Feel free to copy. I'm sure you could make a second tenon end for dovetail joints.
