Back joining jig

I have a back that is in 2 pieces, with a decorative strip down the middle. One thing that bothered me was that the two back pieces had slight warps in them. Very minor, but I didn't want to take a chance.
I was going to use John's approach, and glue them and pull the pieces together with tape, but was afraid the warping might make things go awry.
So, I used a tip from Robbie O'brien's dvd.
Took the granite slab, applied some wax paper under the glue joints, and clamped a wooden brace at a slant that corresponded to the back. Laid out another brace for the 2nd side the same way, kind of creating a funnel. I then glued up the joints and slid them into place, slightly wedging them into each other. Used a couple of 12 packs of soda, 5 lbs of corn meal and a drill to hold everything down.
Even clamped a couple of wedges at the bottom end so they wouldn't come back out.
Changed out the picture to better show the jig.

I like to use my 'luthier's ream-of-copy-paper'! you have to get just the right weight (60lbs text) and brightness (no more than 98), or the joint will suffer though ;)

The glue will set up faster if you use regular Pepsi instead of the caffeine free.
