A woodworker friend of mine said that it's not really a project until you have to make a tool or jig to finish the job. After which a blacksmith friend of mine said that it's not really a project until you have to make a tool to make the tool you need to finish the job.

Nice work on those clamps. I made some a while ago. The only difference is that I've got an additional crescent cut out on the inside of the cam piece, near the bar. It's so I can hang the clamps on a piece of pipe over my workbench.
