Harbor Freight buffer
A new Harbor Freight opened up over the weekend, a mile from my house. You think I'd be excited right? Well, it's a dangerous thing! One thing I did see there was a buffer. Take a look at this link and let me know if you think it'd be any good for guitars. I'm sure it can be modified in some way to extend the arms a bit.

Re: Harbor Freight buffer
I have that buffer. I use it in my knife making. I do buff my knife handles, but it is too fast to buff a finish like lacquer, and as stated, the arms are only about 8" off the motor housing, I think. I use 8" buffs on it and for buffing the blades and handles it works.

Re: Harbor Freight buffer
Not a good piece for wood , this is way too high speed.
I am not a fan of the HF Qualtiy control I do use a lot of the clamps but I found motors are not so good there.

Re: Harbor Freight buffer
See I've had this buffer for about 18 years...still going strong. I've got a 2hp motor on a belt grinder about as old, still going strong, and a drill press from them even older..........still going strong, a combo sander a few years old....they are all working fine.
But I know it is hit and miss with them.
