Re: heating blanket noise
I downloaded Doc Watson's Deep River Blues into the blanket to cover up the buzz.
Just kidding - my overhead lights will buzz sometimes - could that be it?

Re: heating blanket noise
Hi John
I get the buzzing also. However, it only occurs when I'm using the controller to control the current. If I switch it to full power with no resistance it does not buzz. It's possible that the buzzing is coming from the controller itself.

Re: heating blanket noise
the controller may be part of the cause . I use a VSI switch and I do have a blanket that buzzes on Var but it works. I will see what the supplier has to say.

Re: heating blanket noise
Maybe the noise is turning the blanket on/off while in variable mode to control the blanket temp. See if the frequency of the "buzz" drops when you turn the dial to a lower temp and if it increases when you turn it to a higher temp. If the frequency stays constant, then the noise may not be related to the on/off control. Just a thought.
