What is the best way to use the Hold Heet Glue Pot as sold by Stew Mac. The guide suggest heating directly in the inner container, however I have seen these filled with water and glass or plastic containers used to warm the hide glue ?

I put water into the heater and the pot rests in that

I use a small squeeze bottle of Hide Glue in a hot water bath. No muss, no fuss. Goes in the freezer when I'm finished.
