almost done building my bender. Its been a great project while waiting for the finish to cure on my OM. Along with the frame ,I made up a form for an OLF small jumbo, which is for my next project. I'll try to post pics of it later for some tips on improving. Bob should have the plans by now for the bender so I'm sure he will contact who ever is next to receive them when he is done with them.

I have received the plans, and am copying them today.
Kyle Coldren is next on the list if I read it correctly.
Kyle, pm me or email me (coachbob at mail dot com) and give me your address, etc., and I'll send them along tomorrow.

here is what I came up with from the plans. I'm happy with the way it came out. Hope to be getting a heat blanket from santa this year. Hope to be using it to see how it works in the next month. This has been a great project to work on while I wait for the finish to cure on the guitar. If your looking at the file names on the pics,no this was not my halloween costume and no I didn't build it in the hospital.

Looks nice. What did you use for the spring anchor in the center?

Looks good Kyle. What size conduit did you use there? It looks like you did the adjustable waist caul thing.....how was that to make?
Can you show a couple of closeups of that?

conduit is 3/4"(scrap from the electrical division of the company I work for). The adjustable caul took a little more effort but I thought it might be worth it in the long run. And I also had the materials for it already. I'll try to get some pictures of it when I have more time this afternoon.

stopped by the local metals supplier on my way home from work today and scrounged around in their leftover bins. Found a nice peice of 24 gauge stainless 24" x 46". They charged me $15.00 and even cut two 6" peices off for me. I have enough for an extra set which will be convenient to have for another shape later on.

Hmmm, won't 24 gauge be a bit thick for bending?
Just wondering.

I got .008" SS...which might be a little light, but it feels good.
