plans for bender

Post by SKBarbour »

I was considering making a fox style side bender to save some money then buy the heating blanket set up. I just checked LMI and they no longer carry the plans for the bender. Any suggestions on where I can find a set of plans?

Here is what we have from awhile ago. I am bot guite sure there are plans but a description on how to make one. Also bunches of warnings about the light bulb benders.

Thanks John. Very helpful but if any body can direct me to a set of plans I would still be interested.

Thanks Ken I'll check it out. Yes a timer will be in use. I am probably going to purchase a heating blanket from John Hall to use and I believe one of the options with his blankets is a timer.

I don't remember exactly. I believe it was $12.00-$15.00.

I do suggest that if you build on to allow 6 1/16 opening . If you do exactly 6 you can make things too tight .

Hardly worth the effort to sell them, so here's an idea that flashed in my brain. I will send the old yellowed set of LMI plans that I have to skbarbour, then he sends them on to naccoachbob. Then Bob sends them on to the next person who signs up.
Some bodies luthier site did this with a book a couple of years ago. The book went around the world twice, I think.

So, skbarbour, email me your mailing address and I will begin the process. I've got a cute little mailing tube with snap on plastic ends that the plans just fit into.
