Brand name is "Tools Exchange". Uses standard sized stuff easily available at big box hardware stores. This saw is for sale at a local cheap tools place, I just am not acquainted with the brand name.

Anyone out there used one of these? I cannot seem to scare up anything good on Craigslist so I may have to buy - gulp - new.

A Google search turns up only more people looking for answers.

I did just run across a 12" craftsman, like new, with 5 blades, the owner's manual, and it has its own cabinet with wheels. $150 - what do you think?

I like it MUCH better than the original option.

I did buy the craftsman 12" - just about new condition, 5 blades, circle cutter, light, electronics I don't know how to use yet, owner's manual with original receipt for $449.00, got it for $140.00 from a real nice couple in Grant's Pass (southern Oregon).
