Believe it or not, CBG has been a long time coming. I even had the parts for it (most, anyways) at various points in time but it somehow never got made. Pickups got installed in my various electrics, a cigar box (well, a wine box, actually) got stomped on by the little one (completely my fault) and a strat neck I had procured got sold off to finance my r/c car hobby (now switched to r/c planes, much cheaper :) ).
But kudos to you for reminding me, indeed a viable option, but I've set my sights and my wallet on an acoustic. It will take me a lot longer to build and I hope that fact alone will prevent many a mistake. :)

Interesting stuff and you can avoid some heavy import duties since you can probably make or procure all of the parts locally!
