I've used the Grover 18:1 tuners for slot head guitars on several builds. They aren't fancy, but I've found them to work very well. IMO this is a great deal.

These tuners are excellent and I've used them on a lot of builds. They have a vintage look, not quite as fancy looking as Schaller, but they feel great when turning that key and are much more affordable.
