Good thinking. So the string went through the bridge pin holes as well?

Yes while my son held the string tight I threaded the bridge with glue on to the string. I also had a couple of 1/16" inch pins through other holes to make sure the bridge was aligned.

The ukulele will not have bridge pins. The strings will go inside the and I will tie them off with beads.

I had the best morning with some good music playing methodically fretting the fret board. I have to start cooking diner, but if I get a couple of hours in the afternoon I can set her up.

I got a little bit of time today. I really still need to wait a few days with the finish but I could not help myself. A roughed in a saddle and nut and got one string on before I had to cook dinner.
