Ash & Cedar Baritone

I thought that I would post a few pics of my baritone. It's really moving along as I had the whole weekend to "make hay"..., so I did.
I'm hoping to set the top tonight and with any luck I'll be pore filling later this week and can begin applying the finish by this weekend!

Hope the pics come through OK...

Here's a few more pics of the Uke body. I'm finishing it now and really enjoy this part of the process. You can see how the tru-oil made the ash come alive. I'll post again when it's all done.
Thanks for looking.

Thanks to All!!
The ash really took the pore filler well, making the tru-oil process so much easier. Using the micro mesh pads didn't hurt either! ;-)

Just a quick pic of the neck being glued on. I'm going away for the weekend so I won't get a chance to string it up until next week. Bummer....

I thought about posting this under the "Special Guitar Tips" section. I may be the first person to use a kayak strap to attach a neck!

The kayak strap is a good idea! Nice looking ukulele as well.

Nice work. You might be the only person to use a "Kayak strap", but I used a ratcheting strap to attach the neck to a Grizzly uke I made for my kid. I think they may be very similar types of straps.
