Started up a new classical kit guitar today.

Post by johnnparchem »

After I got the violin out of my shop. I went to town on a classical kit today. I cut all of the top braces, profiled the sides, carved the headstock and glued the end block and neck to the sides. I had previously thicknessed the top.

I may be able to close it up next weekend.

The guitar is englemann sruce top with IRW sides and back.

I could not sleep so I woke up very early in the morning and the family went without dinner until about 7:30 PM. Now it will probably sit for a couple of weeks.

I had a bit of a problem buttoning the lower buttons on my shirt today; when I skip a meal I more than make it up in snacks.

Having the tools in hand especially the bandsaw has really helped.

Thanks for the comments.

I am not fat, just easier to see (notice I didn't say "look at"). Nice work so far!

So, my big brother was playing guitar and I figured I'd try it too.

I don't appear too fat from the front, but when you see my profile........not good.
