Hey guys, I am building my first guitar through the Stewmac Dreadnaught. I am wanting to use wood binding instead of the plastic. I am wondering where I can find pre bent wood binding? I am hoping to do ebony. Thanks for the help!

most wood binding will need to be bent. You are picking the worst wood to bend as ebony can be tough. I do bend binding for people but ebony is one that will break about 1/2 the time.
I suggest if you don't want to use plastic then use a wood fiber for ebony , it is more user friendly and cheaper. It will look like wood . you can find that here

they also carry ebony but figure you will need about 8 pcs to get 4.

again thanks for joining

Based on my (very) limited experience with bending ebony...I'd find something else. Or pay John to bend it, anticipating that it may cost more than expected.

John, would you do it? How much would prevent ebony cost me? I don't even want to attempt yet since it's my first build.

Go ahead and give it a try -- that's how you learn. But I'd get John, if he's willing, to bend the ones you're going to use, just to save the aggravation.
