purfling channels too deep
purfling channels too deep
I cut the purfling channel on the top of my guitar .02" too deep. Can't decide whether to bring the surface of the top down or to build up the bottom of the channel. If the latter I could use some help deciding the easiest/most effective method.

Re: purfling channels too deep
there are 2 questions I need to ask so I can give you the best advice.
1st How thick is the top ? If the top is .120 or more you can do just fine.
2nd if the top is under .100 you can shim up the purfling using thread.

I've got .13" +/- on the top. Looks like I'm good for a little scraping. Thanks!
