OOO-28 rosette question

Post by rhagen »

Haven't even started yet and I've got another question!

I was just looking at the rosette material supplied with my OOO-28 kit (Blues Creek). I test fit the material into the slots and noticed that one of the sets of material for the narrow slots is more white that the other. (photo attached). I checked photos online at Gruhn's and Elderly and on all the OO-28s I saw those two rings look identical. I tried flipping them over to the other side and it is the same. Is this just natural variation in the plastic bindings?

I guess it's not a big deal to me, just curious. Now I have to decide whether the whiter one looks best on the outside or the inside. Yet another decision!

you are seeing some shear residue on the darker material . Once you scrape this down it all turns bright white .This is normal .
