building a guitar can be a lot of fun and can open up doors. We at blue creek guitars also offer kits. Stew offers 2 , we have anything you may want. I feel anyone that has a desire should pursue it. You don't know what the end result will be , as it does come down to what you put into it.
We also supply building support as you build to help you get things together and done well. We have videos on you tube and we sell building videos also. We are here to help. We sell both CF Martin kits and we do custom kits .
thanks

Greg, welcome to the forum.
You can do it! It sounds like you have the aptitude and probably enough skills to make it a fun adventure for you. There is nothing like playing an axe you built yourself.
I have made 3, the first from an LMI kit, the last two from scratch, and I have neve done anything that has given me more satisfaction.
Do your research, by Bill Cory's book, choose the kit you feel best suits your needs, and then dive in. I don't think you will regret it.
Let us know which way you go.
Kevin
