Using something with out a heat adjustment can be risky a travel iron works too. Put a drop of "distilled water" on the dent place a clean white cotton rag over the wet spot apply the heat. My little iron is 25 years old! When we manufactured home furnishings believe me we had to remove a mess of dents.

I have one of the from my airplane building days . They will steam out dents for sure . I have used it for the purpose .
