And some more pics, the one of the clamp is something I made. I made four of them, they were cheap, and good hardwood for making proper clamps is difficult to find localy. Clamped the bathroom scale about 140lbs before it distorted too much, which is fine, the more I use them the more I like them.

I like the stripey grain and color on the back, that is going to look sweet under the finish.

Thanks, I appreciate the comments. Do most people stain rosewood, or leave it natural? Seems like the finnishing is a seperate trade.

Don't stain, but if you want a darker looking EIR, you can pore fill with very black filler.

Looks great! Did you open the angle on the x-brace? It looks wider than I am used to seeing.
Don't stain the EIR!

Upon closer inspection on a real computer screen, not my cell phone, the angle of the X brace seems normal.
